Recently, the land use application for the mining and beneficiation project of the Xiaodong Antimony Mine in Xichou County, operated by BGT’s subsidiary Dahao Mining, was successfully approved by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Natural Resources for the conversion of agricultural land to construction land. This marks a key breakthrough in the project’s lawful and compliant implementation and lays a solid foundation for the full-scale commencement of construction.

To efficiently advance the project while strictly upholding the bottom line of ecological and arable land security, BGT actively collaborated with local governments and innovatively adopted a “land consolidation and replacement” approach to facilitate the land approval process. This model strictly adheres to the red line for arable land protection, effectively breaking through bottlenecks in land approval for strategic mineral projects, efficiently resolving core land-use challenges for project implementation, and achieving a win-win outcome for all parties involved in arable land protection, ecological conservation, and industrial development.

Antimony is a key strategic mineral for the nation and is indispensable in sectors such as new energy, electronics and information technology, aerospace, and national defense. As global competition for resources intensifies, ensuring domestic antimony supply capacity holds significant strategic importance. The Xiaodong Antimony Mine holds approximately 34,900 metric tons of antimony metal reserves with an average grade of 3.13%. Upon completion and operation, the project is expected to produce 3,000 metric tons of antimony metal annually, significantly enhancing the region’s antimony supply capacity, bolstering domestic strategic mineral reserves, and further strengthening the security of the national industrial and supply chains.

BGT has always adhered to the development philosophy of “joint construction between enterprises and local communities, mutual benefit, and win-win outcomes.” The company deeply integrates project construction with local rural revitalization efforts, effectively ensuring that “building a project revitalizes the local economy and enriches the local people.” The land use model based on the “increase-decrease linkage” mechanism implemented in this project is not only an innovative practice in land use systems but also a pragmatic measure that benefits local livelihoods and drives regional development.

Looking ahead, BGT will fully leverage its technological strengths in industrial wastewater treatment and resource recovery. The company will integrate the core principles of “water conservation, pollution control, and reuse” into the entire lifecycle of mining operations, fully implement the “three simultaneous” environmental protection requirements, and adhere to a green development model of “mining, remediation, and restoration in parallel.” BGT is committed to building “zero-waste mines” and “ecological mines,” thereby contributing the “BGT Solution” to advance the green transformation of the mining industry.
