Recently, BGT signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jiangsu Suqing Water Treatment Engineering Group Co., Ltd., a leading enterprise in China's ion exchange resin industry. Ms. Quan Qiuhong, Chairwoman of BGT, Mr. Zhang Jianfei, General Manager of BGT, together with Qian Ping, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Suqing Group, Liu Jinbiao, Sales Director and Minister of Engineering Technology Department, Cheng Xiaohui, Director of the Research Institute, and other personnel attended the signing ceremony.

BGT has been deeply engaged in the field of wastewater resource utilization for 20 years. It boasts core technologies with international leading levels and a rich accumulation of project databases in the field of zero-discharge salt separation of complex high-salinity wastewater in industrial sectors. It has completed a number of industry benchmark projects, and served more than 500 clients at home and abroad. With more than 164 patents, it has become a leading enterprise in industrial wastewater recycling.

Since entering the field of salt lake lithium extraction in 2021, relying on its significant technical advantages and rich engineering application experience, BGT has proposed customized technical solutions for different salt lakes. On the basis of original experiments, it has increased the lithium recovery rate by 10 percentage points and realized the comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources such as potassium, rubidium, cesium, and boron contained in salt lakes, maximizing economic benefits and making a successful start for the Company's entry into salt lake lithium extraction. At the same time, the Company has established a digital operation & maintenance center, which is committed to realizing minimally manned and unmanned operation of salt lake lithium extraction to address the problem of labor shortage in high-altitude areas.

It improves the Company's business layout in salt lake lithium extraction and is in line with the Company's business development and long-term strategic planning.

Founded in 1970, Suqing Group is a 53-year-old enterprise and the largest domestic manufacturer of ion exchange and adsorption resins. It has a R&D team of more than 520 employees, including several doctors and more than 20 senior technical talents, as well as two resin production bases. It produces 60,000 cubic meters of ion exchange resins and adsorption resins, and 9,000 cubic meters of lithium adsorbents annually, with an annual processing equipment capacity of more than 20,000 tons. It has been listed as the sales champion in the ion exchange resin industry by the Membrane Industry Association of China for 23 consecutive years.

In 2015, its R&D team made a major breakthrough in the key technology of the heterogeneous system crystallization process for lithium adsorbents. In 2020, the technical team made significant improvements to the lithium adsorbent preparation process, adopting new nanomaterials, composite porogens, and special granulation processes. The product has a regular appearance (spherical, unique in the industry), large specific surface area, high selectivity, and significantly improved overall performance. It has good universality for various salt lake water qualities (also applicable to oil and gas field brine), with an adsorption capacity 50-60% higher than similar domestic products, reaching the international leading level. Besides, the new generation of products is easy to elute (eluted at room temperature), with a high desorption rate (>95%), low dissolution loss rate (<1% per year), and good durability, achieving a qualitative leap in product performance.

This cooperation mainly focuses on the optimization and application of ion exchange resins in the field of salt lake lithium extraction, as well as the technological R&D of adsorption materials for cesium and rubidium extraction from salt lakes. It is expected to achieve breakthroughs in aspects such as reducing costs, improving efficiency, and saving energy consumption for the comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources.
