Recently, BGT, the People's Government of Zhongba County, Shigatse City, and Xizang Mineral Development Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for the investment project of the Xizang Salt Lake Comprehensive Utilization R&D Base.

Ms. Quan Qiuhong, Chairwoman of BGT; Cao Wei, Secretary of the Zhongba County Party Committee; Chen Meiwen, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy County Mayor of Zhongba County (the 8th batch of Xizang-aiding cadres from Baowu Group); Pubu Zhaxi, Deputy County Mayor of Zhongba County; Yang Jun, Director of the Natural Resources Bureau of Shigatse City; Zeng Tai, Chairman of Xizang Mineral Development Co., Ltd.; and Xu Bo, General Manager Assistant of Xizang Mineral Development Co., Ltd. attended the signing ceremony.

The project is jointly completed by BGT and Xizang Mineral. Through this cooperation, new technologies and processes for the comprehensive utilization and development of salt lakes will be obtained, and joint efforts will be made to improve the comprehensive utilization efficiency of salt lake resources (including various elements such as lithium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, boron, rubidium, and cesium) as well as the smart operation and maintenance application of salt lake lithium extraction. The project will start construction at the end of June and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of October.

The successful implementation of the project will greatly promote the industrialization of science and technology in the field of salt lake lithium extraction and achieve core technological breakthroughs in the comprehensive utilization of salt lake resources.
