Wuhai BGT is one of the key enterprises in Wuda District, Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia. In 2018, the company put into operation the first municipal-industrial integrated wastewater recycling project in Wuda District, Wuhai City, which successfully realized the integrated treatment and recycling of municipal and industrial sewage. The project was upgraded based on the idea of integrated operation between the park and the urban sewage treatment plant. Part of the domestic sewage from Wuda urban area is transported to the park through pipelines and mixed with heavily polluted wastewater, and then treated by a customized process, making the overall effluent meet the first-class A discharge standard.

After the upgrading and renovation, part of the reclaimed water is reused for production in park enterprises, and the other part is reused for dust suppression and coal washing in mining areas. It provides 7.6 million tons of water for park enterprises every year, basically realizing comprehensive wastewater utilization and near-zero discharge. At the same time, the integrated treatment of municipal and industrial park sewage has consolidated the infrastructure of the industrial park, significantly improved the urban water environment, created a good production and living environment for local people, and played an important role in water pollution control and protection of local river basin water quality and ecological balance.
