The Ganhutan West Copper Mine is located in Yutian County, Hotan Prefecture, with a total area of approximately 60 square kilometers. The winning bid is currently being announced.

According to the "Summary Table of National Mineral Resources Reserves", Xinjiang's reserves of rich manganese ore, rich chromium ore, nickel, cobalt, potassium, copper, gold and other minerals rank among the top or important in China. Among them, copper, as an important strategic mineral resource, is a fundamental raw material for national economic and social development, widely used in various fields such as power and electrical, electronic equipment, transportation, air conditioning and refrigeration. The goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality have brought about a profound adjustment of China's energy structure, and the copper consumption of new energy vehicles and clean energy generation (wind power, photovoltaics) has increased, highlighting the strategic position of copper.

In early 2024, Beijet signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Hotan Administrative Office regarding the investment and development of industries such as lithium salt lakes/brines (underground brines in blank areas), mines, and downstream positive electrode materials in Hotan. The Hotan region is rich in mineral resources and has a fragile ecological environment. At the same time, southern Xinjiang is the key and focus of Xinjiang's development.
