In order to deepen the exchange and cooperation of environmental protection technologies between coal mines and coal chemical industries, promote ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, the 2024 Coal Mine and Coal Chemical Environmental Protection Industry Conference and the 3rd (Ordos) Coal Mine and Coal Chemical Environmental Protection Technology Equipment Exhibition and Matchmaking Conference will be held from August 1st to 4th at the Ordos International Convention and Exhibition Center. The conference features an academician forum and 16 specialized seminars, bringing together over 200 academicians, industry experts, and senior technical personnel to discuss and exchange experiences and prospects in the fields of green development of China's coal industry, high-quality development of the coal chemical industry, mine water and coal chemical wastewater, bulk solid waste from coal mines and coal processing conversion enterprises, treatment of atmospheric pollutant emissions, comprehensive utilization of resources, and development of technical equipment and environmental protection engineering operations.
Mr. Shi Weiping, Chief Engineer of High Saline Water Resource Utilization Technology of Beijet Group, was invited as an expert to attend this technology event. He gave a wonderful speech on "Research Results of Zero Discharge of Mine Water and By product Sodium Carbonate Project" and conducted a deep analysis of the prospects of the high saline water resource utilization industry.. In particular, in-depth discussions and sharing will be conducted on the case and analysis, standards, and technologies related to the standard treatment of Shenhua Bulutai mine water and the first case of high-quality sodium carbonate as a by-product of mine water in China.
Mr. Shi Weiping stated that the comprehensive inflow of mine water is of high alkalinity, low hardness, and low sulfate water quality. In the pretreatment process, it is necessary to remove and reduce pollutants such as fluoride, suspended solids, salt content, and chloride, while retaining high alkalinity as much as possible. The amount of sulfate ions added during the purification process of the inflow water should be strictly controlled. After pre-treatment, concentration, evaporation and crystallization extraction and separation of mine drainage, industrial sodium carbonate, industrial sodium chloride, decahydrate sodium carbonate and other miscellaneous salt products are obtained. The water produced by reverse osmosis standard treatment is recycled and reused for production, domestic miscellaneous water, irrigation and greening water.
The Beijet Shenhua Bultai Mine Water Standard Treatment Project includes the treatment of water from the Bultai, Cunyi, and Cun'er coal mines. After the project is implemented, it will be connected in series with the original mine water Phase I pre settling and defluorination system Phase II to reduce suspended solids and turbidity in the water TDS、 Impurities such as fluoride and chloride are used to remove or reduce excessive impurities in mine water for reuse in mining areas and irrigation and greening purposes. This project is the first technological innovation project in China to separate sodium carbonate from high alkalinity mine water wastewater. The salt separation treatment process is the first of its kind in China, and the quality of the successfully separated sodium carbonate reaches Class II, Grade I or above. It has been identified as a highlight project by Shenhua Shendong Company..
