BGT's independently developed zero liquid discharge (ZLD) salt separation technology for highly saline wastewater is designed to treat concentrated brine generated from volume reduction processes. The core of the process consists of a "deep concentration stage+salt crystallization stage". This utilizes electrically driven membranes and a mechanical vapor recompression (MVR) concentrator for deep concentration, followed by a freezing/nanofiltration coupling step for salt separation and evaporation-crystallization. Ultimately, both the purified water and the separated inorganic salts are recovered for reuse.
